There are many major Thai Festivals you should not miss out, aiming to amaze its countless visitors with glimpses into the country’s traditions. However, there are two main jazz-related events in Thailand, Bangkok Jazz Festival, which was established in 2003 and the Hua Hin Jazz Festival.

Bangkok Jazz Festival, which is, in fact, a commemoration of the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who is said to have a love of jazz, and attracts around 30,000 people every year. There are tour packages available, usually all-inclusive, providing boarding, lodging, transport, and tickets to the event. The Festival takes place over a three day long weekend period, with a multitude of concerts after 5 pm. Feel free to attend any of these amazing days.

Festival tickets are sold as both day passes and as a combo pass throughout the course of the festival, however, day trips in Bangkok are also worth considering, as well. The annual Bangkok Jazz festival boasts a very active and vibrant scene, as one of the most prestigious events to be hosted in the city, started by the Terminal Xtra Entertainment Company. Although it was originally set up in order to promote tourism in Thailand as a world leader in music, today the event takes place in the Dusit Palace and fans from around the world come here to attend.

Usually held in December, the festival takes place at Sanam Suea Pa, and the main target audiences are local students as well as music professionals who come to enjoy quality jazz in the open air atmosphere.


 Hua Hin Jazz Festival has been organized by Hilton since 2001 and features Thailand’s best jazz talent. For the past 10 years, Hua Hin Jazz Festival has grown in professionalism, drawing musicians from Thailand and across the globe, as well as jazz-lovers who wish to listen to contemporary tunes in a relaxing atmosphere. In this place of beautiful beaches with delicious seafood and extraordinary attractions, Hua Hin Jazz Festival adds the sound of jazz to the waves, for the bliss of this event which is usually held in June.

The stage features renowned Thai artists as well, accompanied by the same sound of the waves, and all performances are free to attend until midnight. Great international artists have joined the stage in 2018 to create a heart-warming experience only 3 hours drive away from Bangkok.
